It’s my birthday! Normally ‘round this time I take stock of what’s going wrong and right in my life, and the ‘right’ column always comes up short. This year, though, I live with my girlfriend in New York, we are in love… I’m about to reach a milestone with my first proper book, too, and I live in a country where you can order pancakes and coffees to be delivered to your front door. Seems like everything is going right for once.
But, I think I’m gonna watch this playlist all the same. It’s a Youtube playlist I look at whenever I forget why it is I do what I do. These are all the short animation clips that remind me of the innate emotive power that cartoon drawings have on me. I can’t separate my own nostalgia from any objective appraisal for these clips, but everything on this playlist is something that gives me chills for one reason or another.
