Hopefully you’ve had time at this point to check out the second volume of Bartkira, which dropped on our website on saturday.
Well: rejoice! You can also buy copies of the zine that Hannah Chapman and I produced for saturday’s exhibition at Gosh! Comics in my store. Click here to get it!
Here’s a few pictures of the event. It was stressful, but nothing went on fire and no-one is in jail, so I’m going to call it a success. Thanks, Gosh! comics, for letting us do this.
Above: I followed Ryan Humphrey's incredibly humble and eloquent off-the-cuff speech by drunkenly reading from the foreword I wrote for the zine, which explains why Bartkira is the ultimate nexus of art and culture and the culmination of all human effort. Several conversations had begun by the time this was over.
Above: people having fun. Below: Here’s me saying “and that’s why Bartkira was all my idea” or something like that. I don’t know why there’s so many pictures of me because Ryan is really the guy who made the show what it was. The whole show was pretty last minute, and if he hadn’t shown up with all his beautiful original artwork for us to gawp at it wouldn’t have been anything like as good as it was. Thanks again, Ryan!
